KING furniture is designed to last. With longevity does come added responsibility. Caring for your products is part of helping them last.   

Maintenance can involve fabric and leather care, dusting, cleaning and general maintenance of items like sofa cushions that need plumping to keep their shape.   

KING has a complete After Care Program to assist you with your care requirements. This includes everything from recommending trusted partners for professional cleaning, in-home and repairs, to sofa recovering and exclusive fabric and leather care kits.  

In our fast-paced society that can often border on favouring single-use, short-term use, and more disposable items, opting for products that are designed for longevity requires a mental shift towards care and repair over disposal.  

Sustainability is at the forefront of KING designs and forms the basis for our innovations.   

Removable covers offers flexibility 

Nailing covers to the sofa frame is the most common approach in the furniture industry as this is a less expensive manufacturing option.  

KING, however, is known for tailored, removable sofa, bedhead and chair covers.  

There are many benefits to removable covers, including: 

• Recovering is significantly less expensive than reupholstering. 
• You can switch from fabric to leather, or simply update with a new colour to suit your evolving taste. 
• If you have children or pets, you have peace of mind that the cover can be replaced if it’s damaged. 
• Removable covers extend the longevity of each piece, reducing the amount of furniture destined for landfill.  

Every KING upholstered item features a printed label inside the cover that shows the customer order number and name, which means the piece can be looked up years later if the customer orders new covers. 

While having the option to recover won't come with any drawbacks, it will add a cost to your furniture, which needs to be considered.

Will technology and optional accessories benefit you?

KING trademarked Smart Pockets allow for a range of accessories to be added, including a wireless charging table, LED reading light and SONOS speaker bracket.

Our smart accessories are removable. When technology is upgraded you can replace your accessories with the latest models if you desire and your furniture won’t be rendered obsolete.  

While smart accessories are a great addition, these are not a necessary feature for having furniture you love – only you will know what is right for you and what you will use regularly.

• Package options – our sofa designs come in a range of package options to suit your needs and have the opportunity to add additional seating modules at a later date.  
• Fully custom sizing to suit your space – you're not restricted to the packages displayed on the website. We can build to your exact dimension preference.  

  Some customers seek to personalise their furniture to their exact needs. For others, these additional options are unnecessary, and customisation won’t make sense for their needs.
